Tom Crocker: School Direct Trainee

Having the opportunity to train with The Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership gave me the opportunity and skills to unlock my teaching potential. The support that was offered by everybody within the school was fantastic and tailored to individual needs and requests. The large amount of trainees within the Partnership provided a support network of people facing the same obstacles – which proved invaluable. I’ve accepted a teaching position at Batley Girls’ which is in no small part because of my experience during my training. With the prospect of facing my first year of teaching I know I’ll not just be supported, but proactively supported, with a range of high quality CPD sessions, other NQT or recently NQT teachers, and time that all staff freely volunteer for any and all issues.
