The Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership had another outstanding year in 2015-16, with 100% of trainees grading their experience as either Outstanding or Good. This year we have 23 Primary and Secondary student teachers training with us to complete their PGCE with Masters credits alongside The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University.
Batley Girls’ High School is the lead school in the partnership and is working with Leeds Beckett University and Leeds Trinity University in 2017-18. Emma Rodrigues, Co-ordinator of The Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership, explained, “All of our Primary and Secondary schools are graded as Outstanding or Good and we want to recruit and train teachers to continue to deliver the high quality education that our local children deserve. My job is fulfilling as I work with a range of trainee teachers across a host of local schools and I get to see them change from nervous inexperienced trainees to confident educational practitioners within a term.”
Recruitment for 2017-18 has already started with some places such as History and PE already filled.
