Bumper Year for The Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership

The Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership has had a bumper year so far. The number of 2018 – 2019 PGCE School Direct trainees is at its highest ever and the training with Leeds Beckett University and Leeds Trinity University continues to be outstanding.

Emma Rodrigues, the Coordinator, admits she is pleased with how the course runs and especially with the recruitment of the new Level 6 primary apprenticeship route: “We have a primary school trainee at Hunslet Carr Primary School in Leeds who is following the new route. She is one of only 90 trainees nationally and this complex teacher training pathway is revolutionising the way that graduates already employed within schools can be paid to train.”

This School Direct PGCE pathway works with lots of local schools and some of the current trainees have already been offered jobs to start next September!
